The 10th Micro/Nano Molding Institute Conference
The development of various high-performance products using surface microstructures has accelerated in recent years, and is expanding into various application fields. Especially recently, the 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) has been attracting attention toward the realization of Society 5.0, a super smart society, and its social implementation has already started. In addition, for this 5G or next-generation communication (6G), research and development is underway on various functional materials, precision processing, and their characteristic evaluation. Therefore, this lecture focused on materials and substrates that can be used for 5G and 6G devices. Focusing on these related fields, we introduce the latest research topics.
Furthermore, this time, we are planning a tour of the “connected factory” at the AIST Rinkai Center. Here, we acquire information obtained from various processing machines in the factory, visualize it, and model the factory based on that information and create a CPS (Cyber Physical System) (unification of the real world and computer models).
