I’m Nakajima from Tokyo University of Science and Technology, who has been appointed as the representative director since this year. I would like to firmly take over the baton I received from Mr. Kano, the former representative director. Currently, changes in the international situation, the seriousness of resource constraints, and especially the shortage of raw materials associated with the destabilization of oil supply, have had a significant impact on the production and research and development of polymer materials, including plastics. These changes in the social situation are not unrelated to the activities of our Nanostructure Polymer Research Association. Because of this situation, we believe that accurately grasping the movement of society and deepening the discussion of research and technology with a view to sustainable material design and resource recycling will lead to our contribution to society, and in turn. This fiscal year, we are preparing plans from a multi-angle perspective at the 1 Nanostructure Polymer Study Group, the 2 TPE Technology Study Group, and the 3 Micro and Nano Processing Research Group. We look forward to your continued support and encouragement in the future.
