20240513 The 61st Nano Structured polymer Institute

The 61st Nano Structured polymer Institute

As part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), improvement in the strength of materials will enable thinner and lighter materials to have sufficient strength, leading to reduced environmental impact, more efficient use of resources, and even cost reduction.
From the view of the above, we are planning a lecture meeting to hear from experts on recent technological trends regarding mechanisms and molecular design for making rubber materials stronger and tougher.
Dr. Sakumichi of the University of Tokyo will discuss the mechanism of viscoelastic effect in the crack propagation of rubbers and the guideline for toughening.
Then, Dr. Chino of ENEOS will detail his work on multi-network polymers introducing three types of cross-linking: hydrogen bonding, covalent bonding, and planar cross-linking.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.
